Texas folks are known for doing things in a BIG way, and this bachelorette party was no exception! We’ve hosted our share of bachelor and bachelorette parties in Destin, but these girls really raised the bar for celebrating an upcoming wedding. I thought they did such a great job, and had such fun ideas, that I’d share some of them here on the blog in case you find yourself planning a bachelorette party in Destin.
When Heather contacted us about renting a boat for her friend Kimberly’s bachelorette party during their stay in Destin, we jumped at the chance to help. We provided the boat and a captain so that the ladies could enjoy their cocktails without having to worry about driving the boat. With fully-loaded standard and double-decker pontoon boats that seat groups of up to 14, there is plenty of room to celebrate with close friends.
They arrived to our marina via shuttle bus, and descended in their matching bikini girl t-shirts, floppy hats, and bachelorette party paraphernalia (including blow-up Willy the Doll). A personalized banner was placed across the front of the boat, announcing Kimberly’s Bachelorette Weekend, and the girls were off to Crab Island for some girl time and fun in the sun.
Captain Paul showed them the sights, drove the boat to and from Crab Island, and helped refresh their drinks throughout the day. A good time was had by all and the bachelorette party was deemed a success! Afterwards, the bride-to-be left us the nicest note on our Facebook page: “This was the best way to spend my bachelorette party and could not have asked for better service. Thank y’all from the Texas chicks (and Willy the Doll)!” You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? Well, we think this picture sums up the day pretty well, and if it doesn’t check out our Pinterest board for more fun ideas from other bachelorette parties…

(Note: captain laws have changed since the writing of this post, so we are no longer able to provide captains for boat rentals for groups of more than 6.
